Hello Fabulous Friends! Please allow me to open up today by saying thank you to all of you for your support, friendship and general awesomeness!! You make approaching50andfabulous.com a true labor of love for me. I am grateful.
A year ago, I would never have imagined I would be blogging, tweeting and interacting with so many wonderful people. I started this summer on a whim and less than 6 months in, I have to say this has grown into a venture I am very proud of.
Each of you bring so much joy to this process for me.
My fellow bloggers, you are truly inspirational. I have met some of the most sensitive, creative, intelligent, stylish, social and culinary skilled people out there. When I read your posts I smile, laugh out loud, get very hungry, go on shopping sprees and sometimes cry with you. Thank you for sharing yourselves with me.
My fans and followers, you are all so kind. I am truly not worthy of your admiration. Every like, comment, share, reblog and retweet means a great deal to me. None go unnoticed. When you laugh, or smile, I know I have done my job well. Thank you all so much for being such a fantastic audience.
My friends who told me to “go for it, start a blog, you will love it,” thank you. You were right. I do love it. You helped me get this site off the ground and have provided such wonderful advice, content to share and been a constant support. I look forward to continuing to share our journey together.
My family… I couldn’t do any of this without their constant encouragement. My men are my life. I live to love them. Mom, you are a constant fixture and where would I be without you? Sister, you’re the best. Enough said.
To my mentees who I am all so proud of. You are all brilliant individuals with a very bright future ahead. Why you let ME mentor you is just crazy, however I am honored to know and work with each one of you. I am fully committed to the organizations that paired us and look forward to 2016!
I feel like I am giving a speech on Oscar Day. I am sure I forgot someone or a group of you and for that I am sorry.
Today’s Power Song, in honor of all of YOU is “I Can’t Thank You Enough” by Carly Simon. I truly can’t thank you enough and this song came along at just the right time!
All of you are what I am thankful for this Thanksgiving Day. I wish all of you who are celebrating a very Happy Holiday. If you do not celebrate Thanksgiving where you are, then allow me to wish you peace, smiles and laughter for the remainder of the year.
I truly can’t thank you enough.
